My 100th Post!

In honor of this being my 100th post, I am following the tradition of listing 100 things about me. This is in no way in any particular order, especially not in order of importance!

1. When filling out questionnaires or memes, my girls usually have to tell me what my favorites are. I draw a blank.
2. This list is going to be very hard for me to do.

4. I am a pastor’s wife.
5. My favorite color to wear in winter is black.
6. My favorite color to wear in spring and summer is pink.
7. My favorite scent is lavender.
8. I like the color, too.
9. My favorite flower is the daffodil.
10. I am God’s daffodil. He told me so.

24. I homeschooled my children.
25. I believe that was one of the most significant things I have ever done.
26. I have 11 grandchildren – so far.
27. The last 9 of those grandchildren have been grandsons!
28. I absolutely love being a grandma.
29. My grandchildren all call me “Nana”.
30. I have strict “inbred” fashion rules. I probably should have been born in the South!

41. I really don’t care to actually clean.
42. I do it anyway.
43. I think my life is too busy.
44. I am a list maker. It is easier to write it down than to remember it.
45. I keep a “To Do / TaDa” list every day. That means I add things to my To Do list after I’ve done them and then check them off.
46. I keep my To Do / TaDa lists in a file. It’s sort of like a journal.
47. I feel guilty when relaxing because of #43 and because I never finish #45.

75. I would prefer that those hours did not end too early in the morning.

    Congratulations, Lady Dorothy!

I first visited your site by linking here from Daja's. I found hers by linking from Families against Feminism. I enjoy visiting here and I did enjoy Daja's, too. I am writing to say that, although I am not a Pentecostal, Charismatic Christian, I enjoy hearing and seeing your view point.

I plan to continue visitng you here and I wish you will tell Daja that although, I am a straight-laced, evangelical Southern Baptist, traditional textbook homeschooler, I have enjoyed her posts about lots of things, from unschooling to homebirthing to making dinner. Tell her thanks.

Oh, yes, I forgot to add that I truly enjoy the chance to observe the love that abounds between you and your daughters. I have that same kind of relationship with my MIL and it is great.

    Your sister,

  3. Happy 100th post!! I love that you write things you've done on your list just to cross them off...I do that (I love my lists!) and now I have a name for it a "ta-da" list, love it :) Have a good week! MaryBeth

  4. Melinda, perhaps you think my blog is gone. It is not. It was only down for the weekend. See, I was applying for a vistor's visa to China and decided maybe my rantings about China and human rights violations wouldn't help my chances.

Thanks for visiting my blog. Please come again!

    Mom, great list!

  5. you should put your TOHE stuff on your side bar! and I don't think the last one counts!!

  6. Heather,
You are right! Why haven't I thought of that? LOL And I've been meaning to blog about it for the longest time. I think I need a bit of your "blog-speed"! Or a kick in the pants!

I love comments!
