Measuring Cups

On Thanksgiving, Serena had some of my measuring cups lined up ready to go for the next recipe.  They looked so pretty and cute, we just had to take a picture!

Aren't these little measuring tea cups adorable?  I bought them at Pier 1 one day as a gift to myself!  I didn't need measuring cups (I have lots and use lots of ulitarian ones.), but I did NEED these pretty ones!  (I looked online.  They don't seem to be available, but they do have some pretty red and white retro ones....that someone dear to me just bought!)

The little tin one I have used since I was a child.  My mother had two of them, and now I have them!  They are old and bent up, but they make me smile when I use them!

I never knew that measuring cups could be so beautiful, Lady Dorothy!! Yours are simply wonderful! :)

I have my mother's old tin ones & I also was given my grandmother's very old tin one, that she used to drink coffee out of and actually had in her hand when her heart gave out & she quietly died. But someone took that real old one out of my mom's portion of our house, when they were visiting one day. Ah well... obviously they must have wanted it.

Anyway, I'm going to keep my eyes open from now on, for pretty measuring cups. Thank you for sharing your collection. Pure eye candy! :)

  2. I just bought some adorable measuring spoons for my husband to place into my stocking. :) I didn't need them but they son made my heart sing. Kind of like those adorable measuring cups~uh oh.

  3. This sounds simply wonderful! I will have to check this out! I thought you might also enjoy reading this new book:
