This Has Got to Stop!

I don't do business with either of these banks, but if I did, I'd get out as fast as possible. I'd make my stand. How else will "they" understand we do not approve?

Bobeches

Bobeche: n. A usually crystal collar on a candle socket
used to catch drippings or to hold suspended pendants.

Blogland is truly an amazing place. Before stalking decorating blogs, I didn't know what a bobeche was. Now I own some!

I really wasn't even in the bobeche market. But, one day I saw a link on a My Romantic Home for bobeches. I followed it to an Ebay store, Shoppe By Colour, and found the perfect color for my kitchen! I've always called it "Coke bottle green", but Kristen (the shop owner) called it "Vaseline green". (I've now seen it called that in more places.) So, being the perfect color and all, I just had to buy two! I love 'em!

If you scroll down to the post below this, you can see them on my completed Easter table. But, here is one in the process.

They are now on my kitchen counter looking all fancy. Standing guard on both sides of my blooming daffodils.

Celebrating Easter

I am always very critical of myself in pictures, but this one's angle makes us both look stunted. Oh, well. It's the best of the bunch!

Check out those shoes! They were his birthday present from Josh and Serena. Matched his suit wonderfully. It takes a confident man to wear gorgeous shoes!

See the cute little flowers? They are sticking their little heads up through half an eggshell. I saw the idea on Decor to Adore and loved it. However, none of my napkin rings worked. I think they are just as cute this way, though.

Look closely and you can see all the mashed potatoes smeared on his face. Feasting is hard work!

Even for Mommies and big brothers.

And we ended the day with celebrating Grandma's 81st birthday. Which was really happening the next day, but we were all together on this day.

It was a good day. My pictures are mostly of our family, but the only reason we have something to celebrate was because we serve a risen Savior.

Amazing!

A Happy Easter to all of you!

As a Christian, celebrating Christ's resurrection is the most important holiday of all. Without His resurrection, we could not experience eternal life! Just the idea of living forever with the One who created us, loved us, died for us, and rose again for us is amazing. But, we don't have to wait for that to happen. Our eternal life can start here! We can live with Him right now! And to know that *He* desires to live with us is even more amazing. Thank you, Lord, for your amazing love!
